Fantaisie Érotique is a zine of curated erotic stories that happen in today’s society. These are stories for all, regardless of orientation, social strata, and phases in life; from coming-of-age to mature categories. The accounts come from diverse communities, including Indonesia—a country with rising conservatism where sex is considered taboo. Indonesia used to have a range of affordable and accessible erotica publications, before conservatism grew to be the norm. Publications that depicted sexual fantasies to the most nonsensical scenarios. Fantaisie Érotique pays tribute to this era, breaking the convention of erotica publica- tion by curating some obscure erotic stories on a personal level and leaving it as raw as it is; as coarse, funny and eerie as it may be—all the while introducing certain sub-cultures to the readers.
