An experiment with ‘The Red Book’–an enormous manuscript, that has manually been written and illustrated by the Swiss psychiatrist C.G. Jung–would be my answer. It was produced between 1915–1930 and considered as a symbol of modern era manuscript. Redesigning ‘The Red Book’ with the means of a mass production, smaller size and cheaper paper are the definition of Johannes Gutenberg’s philosophy: introducing cost-efficient printing method that stirs controversy to the higher class society–but became one historic big step in the history of prints, to bring mass-produced books to the mass.
